Terms of Use
The rules for using Outshelf, including the limits of AI and synthetic research, your content, credits, and App Store purchases.
Effective September 1, 2026
Agreement and operator
These Terms of Use apply to the Outshelf mobile app, web app, website, and related services operated by MimesisIQ LLC. By creating an account or using Outshelf, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use Outshelf for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
The service
Outshelf helps research products and ideas, identify buyer friction, generate concepts and images, field synthetic-audience studies, estimate ranges, and prepare launch materials. Features may consume credits and may depend on third-party data or AI providers.
AI and synthetic research
Outshelf outputs are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. Synthetic audience members are not real people, and their responses are not evidence that real consumers were surveyed. Scores, confidence intervals, comparisons, demand signals, and recommendations are directional research aids—not promises, forecasts, legal clearance, or business, financial, or investment advice.
AI and source data may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or similar to existing material. You are responsible for verifying important facts, testing with real customers, evaluating safety and manufacturability, and obtaining appropriate professional advice before acting.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your Outshelf account. Notify support if you believe access is unauthorized.
- Do not use Outshelf unlawfully, to infringe or misappropriate rights, or to create unsafe or deceptive products.
- Do not probe or disrupt the service, bypass credit or purchase controls, automate abusive traffic, scrape at scale, introduce malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not represent synthetic responses as interviews with real consumers or use an output to deceive customers, investors, regulators, or other people.
- Do not submit personal, confidential, or proprietary information unless you have the right and permission to process it through the service providers described in the Privacy Policy.
Your content and generated materials
As between you and MimesisIQ LLC, you retain ownership of the ideas, prompts, product information, and other content you submit. You grant MimesisIQ LLC a limited license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and otherwise process that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Outshelf.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, MimesisIQ LLC does not claim ownership of the specific concepts and images generated for your workspace. Because AI can produce similar material for different users, outputs may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection. You are responsible for trademark, patent, copyright, trade-dress, regulatory, and other clearance before commercial use.
Credits, subscriptions, and App Store purchases
- Credits meter eligible features, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be consumed when a screen, render, or other metered operation begins.
- One-time credit packs do not expire unless required by a disclosed program change or applicable law. Subscription credit grants and access follow the plan shown at purchase.
- For iOS purchases, Apple displays the final price, currency, taxes, subscription period, and renewal terms before confirmation and processes payment, cancellation, restoration, and refunds under your App Store account and Apple’s terms.
- Subscriptions renew unless canceled through Apple. Deleting your Outshelf account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Except where required by law or Apple policy, consumed credits and completed digital services are not refundable.
Apple licensed application terms
The iOS application is licensed, not sold. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a valid custom license agreement is presented through App Store Connect. Apple is not responsible for Outshelf support, and Apple has no warranty obligation beyond any obligation imposed by applicable law or Apple’s terms.
Third-party services and market information
Outshelf depends on third-party AI, product-data, social-data, email, hosting, and payment services. Their content and availability may change. References to products, marketplaces, reviews, companies, trademarks, or public posts do not imply endorsement or affiliation. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when you follow a link or use third-party content.
Availability, suspension, and termination
We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features or providers. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, third parties, or legal compliance, or when these Terms are violated. You may stop using Outshelf and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Outshelf is provided “as is” and “as available.” MimesisIQ LLC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MimesisIQ LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, use, or data arising from Outshelf or third-party services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for claims related to Outshelf will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid for Outshelf during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so part of this section may not apply.
Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date. These Terms are governed by California law and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law in your residence provides protections that cannot be waived.
